Fraunhofer-Business Area Cleaning
This year's SurfaceTechnology trade fair concluded: From May 5 to 7, Stuttgart welcomed 4,600 specialist visitors from 46 countries. The focus of the event was on the exchange of knowledge, which was once again implemented brilliantly.
One highlight of the trade fair was the STG.ExpertForum. According to the organizer, it is one of the most popular international knowledge sources in the industry. Over three days, around 50 presentations provided insights into current topics, cutting-edge technologies, and the latest scientific results.
Among the speakers was FRei member Frank-Holm Rögner. In his lecture, he addressed the topic: "Cleaning properly saves a LOT of money." He informed the audience that DIN 4878-1 will be published soon – a tool for creating traceable cleaning requirements. Because with clearly defined cleaning parameters, the effort can be reduced to what is truly technically required, thereby saving considerable time and costs.
The trade fair once again confirmed the importance of strong knowledge exchange and practice-oriented standards for optimizing cleaning processes in the industry. We thank all participants for their engagement and look forward to next year with further innovations and collaborations.
