Fraunhofer-Business Area Cleaning
This year’s SurfaceTechnology GERMANY has come to a close: From May 5 to 7, Stuttgart welcomed 4,600 trade visitors from 46 countries. The event focused on knowledge exchange, which was once again executed brilliantly.
A highlight of the trade show was the STG.ExpertForum. According to the organizers, it ranks among the industry’s most popular international sources of knowledge. Over the course of three days, approximately 50 presentations offered insights into current topics, cutting-edge technologies, and the latest scientific findings.
Among the speakers was FRei member Frank-Holm Rögner. In his presentation, he addressed the topic: “Proper Cleaning Saves a LOT of Money.” He informed the audience that DIN 4878-1 will be published shortly—a tool for establishing traceable cleaning requirements. With clearly defined cleaning parameters, the effort can be reduced to what is truly technically necessary, thereby saving considerable time and costs.
The trade show once again underscored the importance of a robust exchange of knowledge and practical standards for optimizing cleaning processes in industry. We thank all participants for their commitment and look forward to the coming year with further innovations and collaborations.
